Classes will resume at Esher Rugby Club, the week starting 7th September. There will of course be a few changes and the class size for every class will be a maximum of 8. Booking and pre-payment via PayPal will only be via our website at the moment. Class updates (such as full classes) will continue to be updated on our website booking page as well as our Fb page. Regarding changes please see below- you will also be emailed these when you book and pre-pay.

Boxercise Class Guidance

Please do not attend if you, or someone from your household, is experiencing Covid-19 symptoms- please self isolate in accordance to the Government guidance.

Please ensure you bring your own water. We will not be able to provide a sharing jug for the class. Bottled water may be purchased at the start of the class for £1. Only exact money to be used for this please where possible.

Please do not use sweat towels inside the class area.

On entering, you will be required to use hand sanitising gel (provided by us), as well as on leaving.

There will be a one way system in place- you will be asked to enter via the main door (as usual), and proceed straight into the main hall. On leaving, you will be asked to leave via the side exit to ensure that participants do not have to cross over on entering or leaving.

With regards to parents who wish to wait on site during kids/ teen classes: Upon entry, you will also be required to use the hand sanitiser provided while assisting your child if needed. When you have been signed into the register, you will be asked to leave via the side exit to the outside. If you wish to wait in the bar area, you will be required to walk around to the bar entrance, and follow the guidance there. When collecting, please enter through the main door as usual, and again leave via the side door exit. WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE CONNECTING INSIDE DOOR BETWEEN THE HALL AND THE BAR AREA. This is to help ensure there is no ‘clustering’ in the entrance areas. We apologise that at the moment you will not be able to sit within the hall to watch the class.

There will be markers placed on the floor to help ensure appropriate distancing. Please do not move these, they will be moved by the instructor as necessary. We will maintain a 3 metre distance between participants during the class. If your child or teenager is attending, please explain the importance of distancing during the class and listening to the instructor during movements. Classes will be very limited in size to accommodate this.

We will still be able to offer limited equipment during the session, including gloves and wraps. These will be disinfected before the class and will be placed aside for cleaning after each class. Pads will not be offered, as the instructor will be in charge of pad holding to help maintain correct distances.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the format of the class will involve more ‘shadow – boxing’, to help maintain appropriate distances. Where required, the instructor will hold pads, or the strike shield for KickBoxercise.

Music levels may be lower than normal, so that the instructor is not required to ‘shout’ over noise.

Due to limited class sizes and space, EVERY class will have a MAXIMUM of 8 spaces. We are opening online booking and payments via Paypal- spaces will only be guaranteed on receipt of payment. If you wish to pay via cash, please contact us directly. You will no longer be able to book via our Facebook page, as this does not provide a payment platform for us, so please ONLY book via our website- If a class if full, we will post a notice on our website payment page as well as our facebook. Please be aware that if you turn up on the day without pre-booking and paying, you may not be able to participate and may be turned away- this is solely to ensure that we can keep to the minimum social distancing guidelines for exercise. This will apply to all classes.

Finally, please do bear with us during this unusual and unique time! We welcome any suggestions you may have to improve the classes, and likewise we will be happy to address any concerns you may have. 

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) UPDATE JULY 2020

Following government guidelines, all our classes are currently suspe​nded til further notice. We apologise, and we support our venues in this decision.

We are now re-opening our face-to-face personal training services- while still taking into consideration the government guidelines on keeping safe and alert during this time.

In-person personal training will be required to take place in an outdoor setting with plenty of space, either in a garden or a local public area, so that the suggested 2M distance can be observed between both trainer and client. Direct contact between trainer and client will be avoided.

During this time, we will still be limiting the amount of equipment required during sessions. If we are required to bring equipment to your session, the equipment will be thoroughly cleaned prior and following a session, with antibacterial surface wipes available during training as required. If contact is essential, gloves and masks will be used by the trainer. 

Please do not book any face to face personal training if you or a member of your household are displaying any signs of Covid-19- such as a high temperature, a new continuous cough and loss of taste or smell. 

We are still offering a mobile online personal training option with our trainer Nathaniel. This will be offered via Zoom, Skype or FaceTime. All online clients will receive a free home workout log to track their progress during the lockdown time. 

We are also offering a Boxercise style online training session for those who already have equipment; equipment is also available to buy through us. 

Free consultations and inductions still apply for all new clients.

Kick Boxercise News

We are pleased to announce that Nathaniel has now passed his Kick Boxercise qualification! We will be looking to incorporate this into our class timetable as soon as classes resume!

Kick Boxercise brings new techniques designed to tone up those bums and tums using explosive techniques derived from the martial arts. We have chosen the most suitable techniques from the wide range of Kung Fu, Karate, Kick Boxing and Muay Thai to teach safely to fitness participants.
